Agenda
The goal
of the Research and Development Programme of ITC is to enhance the food security and general welfare of the human populations, which the programmes serve, through improved and sustainable livestock production and use.
The approach of all ongoing programmes is systems oriented, targeting the low-input (traditional, extensive) and the market
oriented (urban, peri-urban settings) system. This approach forms the basis for the structure of ITC's R&D agenda, which has three main programmes:
Each of the programmes has a number of Institutional Projects. The ensemble of research activities, projects and programmes is laid out in the ITC Medium Term Plan 2000 – 2004. The activities within each Project are elaborated in the Annual Work Plans.
